For the past two years, my deepest memory of winter is snow.

这两年冬天，最深的记忆，是雪。

I was born in Chongqing. The first time I saw snow in my life was last January, when I participated in theUnited Nations EC-OSOC YouthForumin New York. On the plane, Iwitnessedthe cycle of day and night. When looking down, I sawplentifuliceb-ergsdriftingin the ocean. In New York City, I walked through modern streets and visited themarvelousMetropolitan Museum. In the UN building, I was so excited when seeing heavy snow falling from the sky that people around me were allstartledby my yell.

我出生在重庆，人生中第一次见到大雪便是在去年1月底，坐标纽约，起因是参加联合国青年论坛。在飞机上，我看到黑夜与白天的更迭，往下看是大片浮在海上的冰层；在城市里，走过摩登的大街小巷，参观令人叹为观止的大都会博物馆；在联合国大楼里，我看到天上洋洋洒洒下起了大雪，激动惨了，一走出大门就兴奋地大叫，把旁边人吓了一跳。

This winter, my memory of snow was in Norway.That is an extremely natural place where the snow, the lake, the forest, and the sky are all spotless. I remember that it was a starry night, the shimmer of stars surrounded me softly. We were so tiny asif we had blended into this place, away from thehustleand bustle.

The snowylandscapewas extremely beautiful.Continuoussnow mountains and clear lake water surrounded by cloud andmist turned into an impression painting. Water rippled as the biting wind blew in from the fjord, and the boat was yawing from side to side. Snowflakes softly fell on the water,seeming to tell stories. What’s the story? No one knows. It would only fade away as time goes.

Part of the lake was frozen, which looked very beautiful. However, stepping on these seemingly strong but actuallyfragilethin ice made people feel excited, yet worried about destroying it, and life is like walking on thin ice too. Walking up to the hill, it was quiet and still. Coniferous wood grew on the snowy mountains were surrounded by clouds. The wood did not croon at all when the thick snow fell on them, not even a tree branch was broken. Reaching the mountain top, all I could see was white. It was a combination of clouds, mist, wind and snow, and I couldn’t tell whether I was in heaven or in the world.

一处水面结成冰，看上去很美，踩上去则让人激动又担心，生怕破坏了看似牢固实则脆弱的一层薄膜。生活何尝不是如此，一直是在美景里如履薄冰。往山上走去，万籁俱寂。高耸入云的雪山，生长着针叶木，厚重的雪压在树上，树没有一声轻哼，也没有一根枝丫折断。行到山顶，只见白茫茫一片，分不清在天上还是人间：有云、有雾、有风、有雪，杂糅在一起……

Itwas extremely quiet on the snow mountain, as if I could hear the voice of my heart. No one knew exactly where we were, and we could only stay in thisrealm, thinking or moving forward blindly. As night fell, thedimlight from the mountain foot and the bonfire by the lake looked vibrant in the darkness. They were making a strong statement to the ruthless nature — to prove my presence!

在雪山上的时间安静得出奇，静到好像可以趁机听见内心的声音。没有人知道，到底进入了怎样一片境地，只能在其中思考或是无目的前行。入夜，山麓中的点点灯光，湖岸边的熊熊篝火，在黑暗中显得生机勃勃，都在向无情的自然做顽强的宣告——证明我在！

Thisvitalityis like the dimmest light that would never be given up to brighten up the front road. I want to be the strongest and most independent person that stands in the strong wind.The wind will never beat me down, it only makes me stronger. The snow will never beat me down, it is just like the soothing relief to my passionate life.

这种生命力，是再微弱的光也不放弃照亮前方的希望，即使在瑟瑟寒风中也要做最坚强、最独立的存在。风打不倒我，只会使我越发强大！雪打不倒我，只是一丝丝湿润冰凉的调剂！调剂我热情似火的生活

The snowflakes is short-lived butgorgeous. The life in the snow is fragile but resilient. The beauty and the cruelty of snow are just like the paths we have walked through, and we will achieve the most distant dream in the harshest weather.

gorgeous adj. 华丽的，灿烂的；极好的

雪花的存在短暂而绚烂，雪中的生命脆弱亦坚强，雪的美与残酷，都像是我们走过的路，会在天寒地冻里实现最遥远的梦。
